WHAT IS BRAVE FUTURES?

Brave Futures is an experimental platform that challenges artists to create bold, intersectional short films that respond to urgent questions shaping our collective imagination.

Part film race, part creative laboratory, Brave Futures invites visionary filmmakers to produce original works within a condensed timeframe—pushing the boundaries of storytelling while centering care, collaboration, and experimentation.

Since its inception, Brave Futures has become a traveling ecosystem of imagination—connecting artists across continents to explore new ways of being, knowing, and creating. Each edition invites participants to engage with a unique theme and prompt, culminating in screenings, exhibitions, and global distribution through the OTV App.

Every film is an act of resistance and renewal—an invitation to witness, question, and dream of new futures together.
